Oak Forest East

Welcome to Oak Forest East

Located to the north of the Heights and west of Garden Oaks is the Oak Forest East community. Oak Forest East encompasses the sections of Oak Forest and Shepherd Forest that are located East of TC Jester in central northwest Houston along with Candlelight Estates.

Oak Forest is known for its tree-lined streets, highly regarded schools (Oak Forest Elementary and Frank Black Middle schools) and family friendly atmosphere. The baseball fields, tennis courts and playgrounds at Candlelight and Oak Forest Parks are popular, as are the restaurants and boutique shopping on 43rd Street.

There is a mix of custom-built homes, original updated bungalows, and townhomes in the area.
