Located in central northwest Houston (just north of Garden Oaks and east of Oak Forest), the Shepherd Park Plaza and Candlelight Plaza neighborhoods are known for their strong sense of community and family-oriented events. Most homes are updated 1960s style ranches that blend classic charm with modern amenities and there is new construction popping up.

Schools are highly regarded and there are active Civic Clubs that put on many seasonal events throughout the year and have a Mom’s Group for ladies and a Beer Club for the men. The area is known as one of Houston’s premiere areas for Trick-or-Treating at Halloween and impressive holiday light displays with large arches during the Christmas Season.
